05:17 SK Global, Bandai Namco Pictures Plan to Produce English Live-Action Tiger & Bunny Series.05:35 Made in Abyss Anime's 2nd Season Reveals 3rd Promo Video, July 6 Premiere. Thanks for your time, and I truly apologize if you can relate to any of this. I can probably count one hand how many isekai shows I would recommend to a newcomer, just because I know they would never talk to me again if I showed them ~99% of the material out there.
I just don't understand why not sexualizing/degrading minors/women in an otherwise normal story is so much to ask for. That being said, I'm truly ashamed to say I read manga or watch anime, because even on the surface level, one can see morally reprehensible works, morally reprehensible writers, and morally reprehensible consumers. I pride myself on taking stranger's words with a grain of salt, because if I'm happy, then who cares. The problem starts when it gets directed at drawings of CHILDREN (they even created a whole fucking word for people who like this), or becomes a straight up infatuation with minors or siblings or other abhorrent shit (look at how popular Eromanga Sensei was). Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging people just for being horny, be horny all you want. The number of people in r/manga who consume borderline hentai like a child does picture books seems to grow by the hour. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if their brain has just smoothed out into a pair of unrealistic tits. Speaking of which, I am truly in a constant state of disbelief because the people that consume this shit constantly find a way to one-up themselves in how mind-numbingly horny they can be. It might just be the latter based on what I've seen in the community. It's ruined so many shows that had promising concepts, to the point that I can't tell if these writers actually enjoy this constant perversion of women and children, or they just feel that they can't make a successful series without it. Just this over the top and often out of character appealing to these lonely and abysmally horny people is jarring. Regarding fanservice, it’s honestly a tumor in the community/industry, and it latches itself onto a genre and spreads like wildfire until it has this vein-popping death grip on every single show that falls under this category (I'm looking at you Isekai). It's either "haha you're flat," or "your body brings into question what should be biologically possible." Even if the show doesn't have fanservice, the inherent sexual nature of these designs result in massive amounts of fanart and straight up porn of people depicted as minors, and it's almost never called into question. I cannot remember the last time a recent shonen or isekai had just a normal looking cast of women. It's like it's utterly impossible to have variety in body types for girls in manga. The fact that this age was assigned to these characters, and was completely greenlit honestly makes me question the entire industry, not just some of these mangakas. These fucking children have the most sexually driven bodies it blows my mind. The female protagonists and side protags are mostly fifteen. I was trying to read Black Clover recently, but I had to stop because of how gross I felt just looking at some of these characters. I saw a post on here about two weeks ago about writers portraying creepy behaviors as quirks and small flaws ( ), and u/DramaticLolitoes talks about writers trying to normalize gross and perverted actions, so I won't regurgitate what they said about sexual harassment/assault in manga and anime.
